Video Library

The Montessori Live Curriculum Online Video Presentation Library was made possible through a grant from the Florida Department of Education for the Dissemination of Best Practice in Charter Schools. The purpose of this library is to provide an online collection of Montessori curriculum lessons, philosophy, and classroom management presentations for real-time educator support.

    The library is organized by skill and topic, and follows the traditional scope and sequence as closely as possible. Other sections cover philosophy, classroom management, ESE strategies, as well as examples of curriculum masters, lesson plans, and school administration forms.

    Understanding that no two Montessori schools are exactly the same, we have simply provided a point of departure so that new teachers and administrators have support throughout the year when they need it most.

    We hope that you find the library useful to provide continuing professional development at your own pace and schedule. Good luck as a Montessori educator. Your students are lucky to have you.

Organization

The main category pages of subject study contain a brief overview of that subject and each of the subsections therein with more links to them.

In each subsection of lessons you will find three columns. Column one is the title of the lesson and a thumbnail image of the Montessori materials used.

The second column contains a summary of the individual lesson. At the end of each summary is a link to the corresponding PDF for that lesson.

The third column is reserved for links to the videos themselves. The videos are in Apple's QuickTime format (see "Software Requirements" to the right).
