Scope and Sequence

    The Montessori scope and sequence is divided into three year skill sets that are assigned a level of mastery from 1 to 5 (1 start =20%,2 stars=40%,3 starts=60%,4 stars=80%,5 stars=100%, meaning a student can be expected to perform this skill independently approximately 40% of the time, 80% of the time, etc.) Mastery of skills is tracked by the date assigned. Historical ratings allow the teacher to see a student’s progress over a period of time, including years.) Student mastery of skills is based on the Montessori Scope and Sequence. The skill sets can be added to, deleted, or changed by the administrator, allowing for flexibility in each school setting.
