Browser Compatability

Windows Users - It is highly recommended that you use IE6 or Firefox browsers while using this website. Many features on Montessori Live are NOT compatable with IE7. We are working on fixing what Microsoft broke.

Mac Users - It is highly recommended that you use Firefox browser while using this website. Many features on Montessori Live are NOT compatable with Safari browser and the courses section of Montessori Live is virtually inaccessible on IE for Mac.

Throughout this web site there are two major pieces of software that you will need to have installed on your computer for complete functionality.

All of the forms and documents that are available for either viewing or download use Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF).To view these documents you will need the most recent version of Adobe Acrobat Reader.

All of the movies in the Video Library are formatted with Apple's QuickTime .mov format. Both Mac and Windows Users will need to upgrade to Apple’s QuickTime 7 to play the movies.

    The main piece of navigation that ties the entire site together is our Site Map. It can be reached from anywhere in the web site (with the exception of certain pages within the courses).

   There are many sections to this website, not all of which are available from any given page. While we have tried to keep the navigation of the site as consistant and simple as possible, it may at times become daunting to get from on place to another.

 Throughout the site, the navigation menu that remains totally consistant is the footer. The links contained within this menu, located at the bottom of every page, will allow access to all of the main areas of the website.

    Once inside of any given area on Montessori Live, the public or members will find sub navigation menus on the right hand side of the page near the top. These menus contain links to the pages within their specific category.

  There are basically four ares to the website:

• Public Area - This is where you are now and what you see from the Home Page of Montessori Live. Within this area are descriptions of what is found on the site in the different areas and access to them. There are also many helpful links to many Montessori associations, schools and materials suppliers.
  
  There are also public forums which can be accessed without site registration from the Public Area.
  
• Members Area - This area basically houses the Online Library. What is found in the Library is video lessons, pdf lesson plans, blackline masters and other forms. The navigation within the Members area differs somewhat from the Public Area.
  
• Courses Area - This is where the actual Montessori Live teacher training takes place. You may access this area as a guest if you register but you may not see the actual course curriculum unless you register for that specific class. Within this area are private forums and chat rooms for each course. When you are enrolled in a course you will also have access to the Online Library during the course.
  
  Navigation from within the Courses Area is restricted to that area alone. If you need a resource outside that area the best way is to use the footer at the bottom of the pages.
  
• Shopping Cart - The Shopping Cart contains the Video Library available on disk for those of you who prefer to have access to the lessons offline.
  
  Navigation within the Shopping Cart is almost solely for its use.
